HOW IT WORKS

We specialise in helping and developing young athletes achieve the physical skills they need to take their athletic performance to the next level.

Our junior athletes benefit greatly from our 24/7 guidance and week by week year-round program. Without this a lot of talented young athletes tend to gravitate towards poor nutrition, distractions from social media and will generally just follow what their friends are doing (which isn’t much).

Unfortunately parents requests to motivate their child into doing extra training and living a healthy lifestyle gets lost in the sea of also requesting them to do chores, get ready to leave on time, go to bed at a reasonable hour etc etc. This is where having a professional outside opinion really does help – a voice to say,

“If you are serious about becoming a professional athlete this is what you have to do”.

HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL GET:

  • Jackson Athletic Performance focuses on helping young athletes aged 14-17 develop the physical skills necessary to elevate their athletic performance to the next level.

  • Our junior athletes benefit from 24/7 guidance through a structured, week-by-week program designed to keep them on track and focused on their goals.

  • We recognize that talented young athletes often face distractions such as poor nutrition and social media, and they may follow the less active routines of their peers. Our program helps counter these influences and provides a professional perspective to motivate them.

  • We lay a strong foundation for beginner athletes through targeted coaching in sprinting/running technique, body proprioception (control of body movements), and introductory gym work with regressed exercises using body resistance or dumbbells.

FAQS

  • Yes! Jackson athletic performance welcomes people from all walks of life to come and enjoy a style of training focussed on health and performance through a well thought out structure. General Fitness and aesthetics is also a nice added bonus of what we have to offer.

  • 10 years old is the youngest you have to be to train in our youth category, we also do not specialise in training the elderly or people with special needs.

  • Absolutely not! We still develop and progress our athletes during all times of the year. The in season period is the perfect time to get in some solid ground work focussing on low fatigue areas such as stability, core strength, imbalances, niggles and injury so when the off-season period does hit, we can hit the ground running!

  • Our tier 1 members have the option of training from home or from another gym facility. Whichever option you choose your program will be built to suit the equipment you have available. If you plan on training from home when you sign up we can provide a simple shopping list of the bare minimum equipment you can purchase to get started.

  • Jackson Athletic Performance will have our clients fill out a card on file authorisation form. This data is then securely uploaded onto our square software for debiting. Clients on memberships can opt for weekly or fortnightly recurring debiting.

  • Yes! we will simply advise you on to how this may help, hinder or not affect your overall performance goals at all we will build your program around it to suit your weekly schedule.

  • Hours May be subject to change due to overall client and business requirements. We will endeavour to ensure suitable coverage is applied so our coaches are on the floor for a reasonable period during peak hours during the week. At the moment staffed hours for semi private coaching are as follows

    Monday to Wednesday: 3.30-6pm
    Thursday: Unstaffed for private/group coaching.
    Friday: 3.30-6pm.

    The gym floor will also be unstaffed for public holidays.

  • The Australind studio gym is only available for tier 1 members to be booked for private 1 on 1 sessions during select hours, usually Mornings until Midday Mon - Thursday is our best available times.

  • You can find breakdowns of how training at JAP will take place all throughout this website, If you would prefer a phone conversation to have it laid out in simple terms for your personal requirements you can contact Marcus on 0419909321.

  • We will work with the athlete's schedule as to what days they will train and program it in individual to their situation. We will also advise on what other parts of their schedule we would recommend removing or rearranging to help get them from where they are to where they want to be, this is just advice and up to the athlete's discretion. In the off-season new athletes will start on 3 sessions per week and will have to earn the right to receive a more comprehensive program by hitting 85% or above of their program.

  • Alongside weekly programming athletes will be able to contact their coach if they have any questions or concerns regarding their program as well as any questions pertaining to health, fitness and preparation for their chosen sport.

  • Our membership program as well as progress gym membership is a non-lock in contract. No joining fees and no exit fees apply. We like to let our results do the talking and most athletes are eager to continue once they see the difference this kind of training can make to their field or court based performance. Clients can leave at any time however we do require payment up until the end of their current 4 week training blocks (refer to terms of service section). We do ask as a courtesy that members receive 2 months of training before deciding to call it quits - this is not enforced though.

  • Individual results may vary however most of our consistent members will notice a sudden improvement during the first month, this then levels out until 6-10 months in where they will see a major breakthrough in overall performance.

  • Jackson Athletic Performance and progress gym members are offered an on hold period of 1-3 months. This Hold period is subject to significant reasoning such as a long holiday away, debilitating injury, illness or other significant life alterating circumstances. During periods of busyness, competition, injury or rest periods the program is altered to still continue to compliment that current phase of the client's life and assist them in being able to return to a comprehensive program again.

  • At JAP we understand that we are not the one that has to actually do the program. Personal preferences of training are factored into the program design to an extent. We work with our clients to find the fine line between building a program they can enjoy and buy into as well as it being practical enough to help them reach their goals.
