At Jackson Athletic Performance we work on targeting specific physical areas of dysfunction, inhibition and pain as well as improve overall physical function through coaching correct biomechanical technique.
Even for physically fit and high achieving sportspeople It is extremely common to have areas of dysfunction, pain and higher tendency for injury in certain areas. Most athletes have the mindset of pushing through the pain and inhibition or might not even realise they have areas of poor mobility, balance and dysfunction. An athlete that strives for success will be naturally inclined towards what they perceive as ‘payload’ exercises such as heavy compound lifts, intense endurance work and ignore the accessory work. Unfortunately this mindset creates an uphill battle for developing desirable physical qualities, reduces in-game performance and exacerbates dysfunction and inhibitions that are already there.
By the time they realise they need to put time into rehabilitation work it is often years later or when they have already seriously injured themselves and precious time that could have been used for development has been squandered.
Jackson Athletic Performance strives to keep a step ahead by performing client screening for muscle dysfunction, physical inhibitions and closely monitors athletes form and technique during exercises. We believe in a foundational approach building athletic development from the ground up. Building from a solid foundation of good physical health and anatomical preparedness is imperative to reach peak athletic potential.
